“See the planes, meet the team, and hear the stories.”
The Hangar Flight Museum will be hosting Vimy Flight on September 2, 3, and 4. This team of Canadian military pilots are currently on their “Birth of a Nation Tour,” which will bring one Nieuport XI aircraft, which recently flew over Vimy Ridge to mark 100 years since the Battle. In support of this momentous occasion, The Hangar Flight Museum has put together a temporary exhibition about the brave men who flew over Vimy Ridge 100 years ago. We will also be playing movies about aviation in the First World War, and the team will be sharing their experiences about their flight over Vimy Ridge.
*Update* One Nieuport XI will be on static display inside the museum all three days. The pilots and crew will be giving presentations at 12PM and 2PM each day on their experiences, and weather dependant, at 11:30 three Nieuport XI planes will fly over the Museum!
We will be open from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM each day.
