A Hurricane is Coming Unveiling Weekend

Be one of the very first people to see Hawker Hurricane #5389 in its restored state at its unveiling on November 6th from 1pm-4pm! We’ll have the refreshments and speeches, just bring your curiosity. This event is free to attend.

Hawker Hurricane #5389 was manufactured in Fort William, Ontario. It was flown by local pilots including Flight Officer Gordon Hill. More than 23,000 hours have been put into the restoration of #5389.

We’re celebrating Hawker Hurricane #5389’s return to Calgary with a full weekend of activities including a Speaker Series, hands-on “build a Hurricane” craft, and new exhibit! This is your chance to learn about Hawker Hurricanes – while Hurricanes are known for their involvement in the Battle of Britain, #5389 was never flown overseas but was used as part of western coastal defense. We’re so excited about this plane’s return that we’re celebrating for the whole weekend: November 8-10! We’re open from 10am-4pm each day and can’t wait to celebrate with you. You can purchase tickets for this weekend online or at the door.
