Joined the Board of Directors in 2020.

Michael Wilton has been a volunteer at the Museum for over 5 years, primarily in the events group and works closely with the team to move artifacts, set up events, etc. This experience solidified his support in The Hangar Flight Museum’s mission to help preserve and teach about aviation and it’s contribution to Canadian society. Though now a member of the Board of Directors, Michael can often be found in the museum before or after hours, moving displays and setting up for special events.

Michael is a multi-engine IFR pilot holding both a Transport Canada and US FAA license and is the President of an aircraft brokerage, FlightSimple Aircraft Sales. Michael currently lives in Calgary, AB, but travels extensively for work and pleasure. He, and his two young children, use their 1981 Mooney M20K for both business and personal use. Having flown all over Canada, US and to Scotland, Michael has had the opportunity to meet many great people and have a number of exciting flights over the years.
